 Description: Rickshaw Detroit was started by native Detroiter Terry L. Walker who was involuntarily called to active duty in 2005 serving in Iraq (Baghdad). Terry continued his quest to obtain a Pedicab business in Detroit. While home on R&R (AUG 06)Terry put his Pedicab on display and gave free rides to visitors in downtown Detroit. Though Terry has been deployed in Iraq he continuously communicated with City Officials providing presentations and insight and got the job done. Those who now claim to be the first should recognize the efforts of this soldier as well as his wife who communicated via letter and touched the hearts of Detroit’s City Council members and staff.
