Pedicab News (PN) is a New York-based news and editorial publication being developed and managed by the GreenTransporters Association.
What is the Green Transporters Association?
GTA is a new trade organization, which is forming out of necessity in response to the ‘pedicab death sentence’ regulation bill, Intro. 331-A, now Local Law 19. All those in the pedicab industry and those who support its unlimited growth are welcome to join.
GTA will eventually consist of all kinds of bicycle, tricycle and low-speed electric vehicle transporters, including couriers and delivery people. However, until fair regulation of pedicabs is accomplished, the pedicab issue will be its focus.
Presently a steering committee consists of George Bliss, Doug Korman, Steve Stollman, Joe Grunberg, Mehdi Bousfina, Alvaro DePrat and Mega Martinez. This group will plan meetings and strategy until incorporation, by-laws and organizational structure can be achieved.
The Green Transporters Asssociation is committed to fighting for no caps or bans on pedicabs or electric-assisted pedicabs. Our industry needs to speak and act with a unified voice, in its own defense.
